For reading/speaking/writing exercise

1) Take an English newspaper (BELOW IS SHORT LIST-YOU CAN TAKE ANOTHER ONE)

2) Pick out a newspaper article at about 150 words

3) Set a timer for 20 minutes

4) Read the article carefully

5) Underline the key details and unfamiliar words

6) 30 seconds to collect your thoughts and write a few quick sentences to summarise what  you   have learnt

7) Spend two minutes on thinking about the event, incident or person described in the article

8) Switch on your voice recorder and speak about it for 30 seconds

9) This whole exercise will take your 10 minutes at most

10) In the remaining time analyse your responses

11) First make a list of unfamiliar words you have underlined

12) Next read your summary to see if you got the important information, through “the wh_” who, what, when, where, why  and how,

#Finally listen to your voice recorder and make a note of problems in structure, pronunciation and clarity#
