Grammar in Context
John wakes up at 7 AM every day. He enjoys his morning coffee while reading the news. Right now, he is preparing breakfast because he has an important meeting. His sister, Anna, teaches English at a local school and often helps him with his English skills. Today, she is not teaching because it’s a holiday.
Present Simple (Geniş Zaman)
Düzenli olarak yapılan eylemleri, alışkanlıkları ve genel gerçekleri anlatmak için kullanılır. Ayrıca günlük rutinleri ve evrensel doğruları ifade eder.
Yapı:
- Olumlu: Özne + Fiil (he/she/it → fiil + s/es)
- Olumsuz: Özne + do not (don’t) / does not (doesn’t) + Fiil
- Soru: Do / Does + Özne + Fiil

Present Continuous (Şimdiki Zaman)
Şu anda devam eden eylemleri veya geçici durumları anlatmak için kullanılır. Ayrıca planlanmış gelecek eylemleri de ifade edebilir.
Yapı:
- Olumlu: Özne + am/is/are + Fiil + -ing
- Olumsuz: Özne + am/is/are + not + Fiil + -ing
- Soru: Am/Is/Are + Özne + Fiil + -ing
